Brooks banger brings Blades back to winning
Sheffield United kept the pressure on EFL Championship leader Leeds United with a 2-1 victory away to Watford.
The victory ended a three-match run without a league victory for Chris Wilder's side, its longest of the season so far.
The Blades went ahead through a Gustavo Hamer goal in the 13th minute but were pegged back just seven minutes later by Jeremy Ngakia's first goal in English football.
United then got its nose in front again seven minutes into the second half through a superb Andre Brooks strike from distance, and the visitors were able to hold on to the lead until the final whistle, which was blown amid what looked like a serious injury to Hornets goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann.
Sheffield United is in third place on 52 points and one point behind Leeds with Burnley between them, also on 52 points.
Watford, meanwhile, is ninth with 37 points after a third straight defeat and fourth loss in five matches.
However, it is only three points off sixth and the play-off spots for promotion to the Premier League.
