VIDEO | Pulisic "Steals" Goal After Leão's Impressive Performance
A remarkable steal by the American, Christian Pulisic, from his teammate Rafa Leão, who had crafted a magnificent play where the ball could have ended up in the net, sealing one of the most beautiful and football-savvy moves of the week in the UEFA Europa League.
However, things turned out a bit differently. Yes, it's still a beautiful play. Yes, the ball ended up in the net, marking Milan's fourth goal against Slavia Prague. But the play was initiated by Rafa Leão, and Pulisic merely took care of pushing the ball that was already heading towards the goal. In this way, one could say he somewhat tainted the play.
Nevertheless, we can give a bit of credit to the North American, as, in some way, he acknowledged that Leão truly deserved the goal. After pushing the ball into the net, Pulisic went to celebrate with the Portuguese, pointing at him and making a gesture.
With this goal, Milan scored their fourth goal in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 against Slavia Prague, a match that ended with a final score of 4-2 in favor of the Italians.
