After a rough start to the season that put the historic Lyon in a relegation battle, the home team came out determined to flex their muscles in front of their fans, scoring the first goal in the 22nd minute with a great volley from Tagliafico.

In the second half, while still under pressure from Nantes, Lyon maintained their momentum and managed to double their lead with a team play that ended up with Pallois accidentally pushing the ball into his own net in the 54th minute, turning the rest of the match into a formality.

With this result, Olympique Lyon earns important points to climb to seventh place in the Ligue 1 standings with 10 points, while Nantes drops to tenth place with a total of nine points.
