For Lille fans, the official BEST SEASON EVER will undoubtedly be the immense Ligue 1 title-winning campaign of 2020-21. However, despite it just being November, the current season is turning out to be epic for the supporters of Les Dogues as well. 

Just take the last month as an example. In that period Lille have beaten both Real Madrid AND Atletico Madrid. Next up on the schedule is the visit of Juventus, another classic European clash. 

In Ligue 1, Lille are coming off a famous 2-0 win in the Derby du Nord against Lens, with both goals coming in the eighth and eleventh minute of second-half injury time to deliver extra pain for the hosts. That results also shows how Lille are managing to keep their campaigns alive in both France and Europe. The win against Lens was the team’s third clean sheet in the past four games in Ligue 1 which leaves Bruno Genesio’s side in fourth.

Another great French team are coming to town on Friday in the form of Lyon, a side having another rollercoaster campaign at both ends of the pitch.
