Will He Succeed? This Is How Ronaldinho's Son Is Doing At Barcelona
Joao Mendes, born on February 25, 2005, is not only the son of the legendary Ronaldinho, former Barcelona "Number 10," but he is also making a name for himself in the youth ranks of the Catalan club.
The 18-year-old had been in the youth academies of Paris Saint-Germain, Flamengo, and Cruzeiro before joining Barcelona's Juvenil A team. So far, the Brazilian has accumulated 238 minutes in the current tournament.
Up to this point, the young winger has not scored a goal but has been a starter on two occasions. Furthermore, his enthusiasm and positive attitude are highly valued qualities within the club during this developmental stage.
Mendes, like his father, can play both as a winger and an attacking midfielder and, if needed, as a center forward. It's still too early to say if he will achieve what "R10" did, but undoubtedly, his future looks very promising.
