Carlos Alcaraz is the Highest-Paid Tennis Player in the World
Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz tops the list of the highest-paid tennis players in 2024, according to Forbes.
Champion of both Roland Garros and Wimbledon this year, a silver medalist in Paris 2024, and currently ranked number 3 in the world, Alcaraz earned a whopping $42.3 million (before taxes and agent fees), according to Forbes' estimates. The ranking considers earnings from the 2023 U.S. Open through this year's edition, which kicks off this Monday.
Out of that $42.3 million, Forbes attributes $10.3 million to his on-court earnings, while the remaining $32 million comes from off-court activities, including endorsements and deals with global brands like Nike, Rolex, and BMW. The 21-year-old from Murcia knocked Serbian Novak Djokovic off the top spot, who earned $37.2 million in the past twelve months.
American Coco Gauff rounds out the top three with $27.1 million, followed by the current world number ones: Poland’s Iga Swiatek ($26.7 million) and Italy’s Jannik Sinner ($26.6 million). In sixth place is another Spanish tennis legend: Rafa Nadal, with $23.3 million. With four women in the top ten, the list is completed by Russia's Daniil Medvedev ($20.3 million), Japan’s Naomi Osaka ($14.6 million), Norway's Casper Ruud ($13.9 million), and Belarus’s Aryna Sabalenka ($13.7 million).
