San Marino Win a Match for the First Time in 20 Years
San Marino made history on Thursday in the Nations League with a 1-0 victory over Liechtenstein, their first win in over 20 years. Their last win, also against Liechtenstein, was in 2004.

This victory not only marks their first official match win but also ends a 140-match winless streak since that friendly two decades ago. The match was part of Group 1 of the UEFA Nations League D, which also includes Gibraltar.
The only goal of the game came in the 53rd minute from Nicko Sensoli, who became the hero by scoring near the penalty spot. His goal sparked wild celebrations among his teammates on the field.
After 177 games without victories in official competitions, San Marino finally earned three points in a historic match.
