Chelsea have confirmed the signing of attacking midfielder Nathan from Atletico Paranaense.

The 19-year-old is to join the Premier League champions on July 1 after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.

Nathan has represented Brazil and Under-17 and Under-20 level during his career and netted five goals in as many games at the Under-17 World Cup, where he was named as the player of the tournament.

Chelsea were reported to have been in talks with Nathan since last month, with the youngster revealing the transfer on social media earlier in the week.

And, after the move was officially confirmed, he told Chelsea's official website: "I am very happy to be joining Chelsea, the champions of England, and I hope I will be able to learn a lot and develop my game."
