Bastian Schweinsteiger Missing From Manchester United Team Photo
As Bastian Schweinsteiger's estrangement from Manchester United continues, he has been left out of the club's official squad photo.
Bastian Schweinsteiger has been left out of Manchester United's official squad photo as he continues to be exiled by Jose Mourinho.
The World Cup winner joined Louis van Gaal's United in 2015 from Bayern Munich, where he had previously played under the Dutchman.
However, after struggling in his first season at Old Trafford - making just 18 Premier League appearances - Schweinsteiger has been absent from the first team under new manager Mourinho, instead training on his own.
And, when United tweeted their latest squad picture on Thursday, Schweinsteiger was omitted.
Eagle-eyed supporters also noted the absence of the FA Cup - a trophy won by Van Gaal - from the image, with Mourinho accompanied by under-fire captain Wayne Rooney.
United sit seventh in the table, six points behind leaders Manchester City, although they knocked their rivals out of the EFL Cup on Wednesday.
