Chelsea Secures Two Signings for Over $80 Million
Sporting CP has confirmed the sale of two of their young talents to Chelsea for a total of approximately $80 million, further strengthening the London club’s ambitions. The players in question are 20-year-old midfielder Dário Essugo and left winger Geovany Quenda.

According to an official statement from the Portuguese club sent to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM), Essugo was sold for $24 million but will remain on loan at Las Palmas until the end of the season. This transfer highlights Chelsea's confidence in the young talent, who continues to gain experience in LaLiga.
Meanwhile, the sale of winger Geovany Quenda has reached $55 million. Quenda, who is currently with the Portugal national team under Roberto Martínez, will stay on loan at Sporting CP until June 2026. These signings are part of Chelsea's strategy to invest in young prospects to build a competitive squad for the long term.
