Luis Suárez Near Debut Alongside Messi for Inter Miami in Friendly Against El Salvador
The great friends, Argentine Lionel Messi and Uruguayan Luis Suárez, lead the list published this Wednesday by Inter Miami for the friendly match on Friday at Cuscatlán Stadium in El Salvador, marking the beginning of the pre-season for the team under Argentine coach Gerardo 'Tata' Martino.
Luis Suárez, introduced last Saturday as the new forward for Inter Miami, could make his debut with the new club in the visit to Cuscatlán Stadium for a friendly match against the El Salvador national team on Friday, January 19.
Martino's list also includes Spaniards Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, signed by Inter Miami last summer, who are a fundamental part of the American club and raise high expectations among fans about how the team will perform with these former Barcelona players reunited once again.
Martino's team is gearing up for their first international match in history, kicking off a seven-match preparation tour ahead of the start of the 2024 MLS season.
Inter Miami will face Dallas FC in Texas and then travel to Riyadh to take on Al Hilal and Al Nassr, led by Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo. The tour includes friendly matches in Hong Kong and Tokyo against Kobe and
concludes on February 15 at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale (Florida) with a match against Newell's Old Boys.
