Inter Miami Suffer Setback: Federico Redondo Out for Two Months
The Argentine, one of Inter Miami's major signings for this season, suffered a ligament injury and will be out of action for eight weeks.
On Thursday, Inter Miami, Lionel Messi's team, announced that Argentine Federico Redondo has suffered a lateral collateral ligament (LCL) injury in his left knee and will be sidelined for approximately eight weeks.
At 21 years old and the son of Fernando Redondo, a prominent midfielder for Real Madrid and the Argentine national team, the young player joined the pink-clad team in February to strengthen a squad that also features Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba.
Redondo had played four matches - all as a starter - for Inter Miami before this injury: two in the MLS and two in the Concacaf Champions League.
Inter Miami will host New York City FC at their home ground this Saturday in another round of the American league.
