Skriniar to Undergo Surgery, Doubtful for Champions League Round of 16
PSG's Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar will undergo surgery next week in Doha for the ankle injury he suffered in Wednesday's Supercup final and is doubtful for the two Champions League Round of 16 matches against Real Sociedad.
The club confirmed on Saturday that the center-back will undergo a surgical procedure but did not provide an estimate of the time he will be absent from the playing field.
Real Sociedad will travel to Parc des Princes on February 14 before playing the return leg at Reale Arena on March 5.
Skriniar, who joined PSG last summer from Inter Milan, has been one of the most used players by coach Luis Enrique this season, a key piece in their defensive setup alongside Brazilian Marquinhos.
The player, who will turn 29 on February 11, has already played 22 matches this season.
