There is no doubt that the goal is the most attractive part of The Beautiful Game, and in general it's the strikers that we hold dearest. Although we can not include them all, we have selected the 10 best strikers that have scored in El Clasico for Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Lionel Messi

Un-arguably one of the two best strikers in the game and Barcelona's top all time goal scorer. His "magisterial" ability to skip by defenders in the tightest of pockets has earned him the honor of the Blaugrana's best ever forward. 

Cristiano Ronaldo

The equivalent freak of nature to Lionel Messi is Real Madrid's number seven. The Portuguese forward has led the line for the Royal White's for six seasons, becoming the team's all time leading goal scorer. 

Romario

A pure artist on the field who flowed through opposing defenders like a brush on a canvas. Romario's innate ability to break defenders' ankles led him to a record breaking season which won him a Pichichi in his first year. 

Alfredo Di Stefano

'La Saeta Rubia' was the great leader of Real Madrid during their conquest of Europe's five consecutive Cups between 1956 and 1960. Thanks to his technical ability and versatility, Di Stefano not only became an icon to the fans, but one of the first global legends of the game. 

Samuel Eto'o

A genuine genius of the highest quality, Samuel Eto'o demonstrated a real knack for scoring goals during one of the most successful periods for Barcelona. Leading the line with Thierry Henry, Ronaldinho, and a young Lionel Messi, Eto'o quickly became a real strong fan favorite in his five seasons. 

Raul

The cornerstone to Real Madrid's essence, Raul possessed instinctive qualities in front of goal. The effective left-footed Spaniard spent 7 years with the Merengues, notching enough goals to lead the team in every season. 

Rivaldo

Another dazzling Brazilian that captivated fans with his individual talent on the field. One of the most entertaining players to don the Barcelona jersey, Rivaldo had a real nose for scoring with an acrobatic flair. 

Hugo Sanchez

One of the beautiful game's living legends, Hugo Sanchez arrived from Mexico to conquer Spain in the 80's. Sanchez's relationship with the soccer ball led him to five straight league titles, four Pichichi trophies, and one Golden Boot. 

Patrick Kluivert

This Dutch talent was an exceptional figure of Barcelona's late 90's team. His strength made him into one of the best strikers to play with their back towards the goal, his technique made him one of the finest passers, and his agility made him the perfect partner for Rivaldo. 

Ferenc Puskás

Widely regarded as one of the world's best ever strikers, Ferenc Puskás is the epitome of the position. Notching an incredible 156 goals in 180 appearances for Real Madrid, Puskás won so many scoring titles, FIFA ended up naming one after him.
