Thiago Alcântara completed his training with Hansi Flick's coaching staff and already has a replacement. Will he return?
Thiago Alcântara is no longer part of Barcelona's coaching staff. The Spanish-Brazilian midfielder completed his internship under Hansi Flick to obtain his coaching license.
His deep knowledge of Barcelona and his fluency in German, after spending nine seasons at Bayern, made him an ideal addition to Hansi Flick's coaching team.
However, it was made clear from the start that his stay at the club would only last through the preseason, just long enough to complete the hours required for his coaching license.
Throughout the preseason, he was seen actively communicating with the players, especially the youth academy graduates.
Barcelona has been thrilled with Thiago's contributions and has left the door open for his return in the future.
Who is his replacement?
The FC Barcelona announced on Friday that Arnau Blanco, former coach of the club's Cadete A team, will replace Thiago Alcântara as Hansi Flick's assistant.
