These Players Will Miss El Clásico for Real Madrid against Barcelona
Alongside Brahim, youth team player Sergio Mestre joins the squad as the third goalkeeper, marking another new addition to Ancelotti’s list, who faces El Clásico with four players out due to injury.
The return of Brahim Díaz, 41 days after suffering a muscle tear in his right abductor, is the major news in Carlo Ancelotti's squad for El Clásico in Spanish football. Ancelotti will be without Thibaut Courtois and Rodrygo due to injuries from the last match and will also miss Dani Carvajal and David Alaba.
Brahim has managed to shorten his recovery time after his muscle injury, confirmed on September 14 in the league game against Real Sociedad. After rejoining training on Monday, he has improved his physical condition, allowing Ancelotti to include him in the squad for El Clásico.
The muscle injuries of Courtois, who got hurt against Borussia Dortmund, and Rodrygo, rule them out for the Barcelona match. Both join the injury list alongside Dani Carvajal and David Alaba, who sustained serious knee injuries.
Real Madrid's full squad for El Clásico, scheduled for matchday 11 of LaLiga at Santiago Bernabéu, includes:
Goalkeepers: Andriy Lunin, Fran González, and Sergio Mestre.
Defenders: Lucas Vázquez, Rüdiger, Militao, Jesús Vallejo, Ferland Mendy, and Fran García.
Midfielders: Tchouaméni, Camavinga, Fede Valverde, Luka Modric, Dani Ceballos, Jude Bellingham, and Arda Güler.
Forwards: Brahim, Vinícius, Mbappé, and Endrick.
