The Football Team with the Highest Revenue of the 2022-2023 Season
Real Madrid generated €831 million in the 2022-2023 season, becoming the club with the highest revenue in the world, according to the "Money League" report by Deloitte.
The white club returned to the top of this report for the first time since the 2017-2018 season and increased its revenue by €118 million compared to the previous season, representing a 16% increase. Finishing second in La Liga, reaching the Champions League semi-finals, and winning the Copa del Rey were the sporting achievements that contributed to this success for the team from Chamartín.
On the other hand, their commercial revenue increased to €403 million, compared to €319 million generated in the previous period, while matchday revenue amounted to €122 million, up from €88 million last season. Television rights revenue slightly decreased, going from €308 million to €306 million.
Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are the European giants that complete the podium of the teams that generated the most revenue in the 2022-2023 season, thanks to their excellent commercial management and sporting achievements.
In fourth place is Barcelona, with revenues of €800 million, a 25% increase from the previous period. The 'blaugrana', who were league champions, increased commercial revenues from €284 million to €412 million and matchday revenues from €103 million to €166 million.
