Lionel Messi sustained a knee injury early in FC Barcelona's game against Las Palmas Saturday.
The Argentine forward was inside the penalty box when he swung to shoot just as a defender blocked the shot, jamming his knee.
Messi went down immediately and stayed there for several minutes. Although he attempted to play through the pain, eventually he was subbed off in the 10th minute.
The extent of the injury is not yet known.
