Hansi Flick Aims to Follow in Johan Cruyff's Footsteps at Barcelona
The new Barcelona coach, Hansi Flick, revealed that he has always resonated with the football style that Barça plays, especially the one implemented by Johan Cruyff, ever since he started his coaching career.
"My way of viewing football is similar to what Barça does, and that's been my goal since the first team I coached. I studied the Dutch football school a lot and also learned about Johan Cruyff," Flick shared on Barça One's channels.
In his second week in charge of Barça, Flick mentioned that he has felt "from day one" the passion with which people live and breathe Barça, from the fans to the president.
"Everyone here who works for Barça has this passion, this devotion to give their best for the club, and this is also great for us because we want to be part of this club and we want to live with this passion, this devotion, because we want to give everything we have to take this club to the next level. I don't know, but we'll do our best," he said.
The German coach led his last training session of the week, with all available players participating. Pablo Torre, who recently underwent surgery for a fracture in the fifth metacarpal of his left hand, was seen at the training ground, starting individualized work on the field.
Starting next week, Barça will kick off their third week of training, which will conclude on Sunday with a trip to the United States for a preseason tour, where they will play three friendlies: Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Milan.
