Courtois Ruled Out of Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey Semifinal Squad
Thibaut Courtois will miss his second straight game for Real Madrid due to muscle problems. The Belgian goalkeeper, who was already absent in the LaLiga EA Sports match against Leganés, won’t be available for the second leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals against Real Sociedad either.
Adding to Courtois' absence, Dani Carvajal, Éder Militão, Ferland Mendy, and Dani Ceballos are also sidelined with injuries, and none of them are expected to return before April 8.
Real Madrid’s Squad for the Real Sociedad Clash
The only change in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad from the previous match is the exclusion of academy player Diego Aguado. Here’s the Real Madrid squad list:
- Goalkeepers: Andriy Lunin, Fran González, Sergio Mestre.
- Defenders: Lucas Vázquez, Raúl Asencio, Antonio Rüdiger, David Alaba, Jesús Vallejo, Fran García.
- Midfielders: Aurélien Tchouaméni, Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde, Luka Modric, Jude Bellingham, Arda Güler.
- Forwards: Vinícius Junior, Kylian Mbappé, Rodrygo Goes, Endrick, Brahim Díaz.
Despite these setbacks, Real Madrid will aim to book their place in the final with a competitive squad and the support of their home crowd at the Santiago Bernabéu.
