The horrifying incident occurred in the 30th minute of the match, after Jorge Morel, Valdez's teammate, fell on top of Valdez's right knee, resulting in a truly shocking sight.
It is reported that the player may have suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his knee and that he could be sidelined for an estimated eight months.
