Fluminense will play in the 2023 Copa Libertadores final after a last-minute comeback against Internacional, defeating them 1-2 at the Beira-Rio stadium in Porto Alegre.
Argentinian Gabriel Mercado gave Internacional the lead in the first half, but John Kennedy and also Argentinian Germán Cano turned the score around for the carioca team in the final ten minutes of the match.
The Rio de Janeiro team, which had previously drawn 2-2 in the first leg, will compete for their first continental title on November 4th at the Maracanã stadium against the winner of the other semifinal, which features Palmeiras and Boca Juniors.
