When Does Messi Play in Mexico?
Lionel Messi will play his first official match in Mexican territory, and he will do so during the CONCACAF Champions Cup Quarterfinals against Monterrey's Rayados.
The BBVA Stadium will host this match, after Rayados advanced in the previous phase against Cincinnati FC; this match also entails facing Gerardo "Tata" Martino, former coach of the Mexican National Team.
This marks the first time the Argentinean will play an official match in Mexico, although he previously played a friendly in 2011, when the World Cup champion in Qatar 2022 played two friendlies: one in Mexico City and another in Quintana Roo.
On April 2nd, Monterrey's Rayados will visit Florida for the first leg, while the return leg will be played on April 9th.
