Wesley Sneijder Unleashes on Sergio Busquets: "A Complete Crybaby"
The former Dutch player launched a harsh attack on the current midfielder of Inter Miami. Let's just say they were never friends, and they still aren't.
Wesley Sneijder and Sergio Busquets were no strangers to intense battles on the pitch during their illustrious careers, donning the jerseys of Inter Milan, FC Barcelona, and their respective national teams, the Netherlands and Spain.
Years after their fierce encounters, Sneijder has opened up about his contentious relationship with the current Inter Miami midfielder, delivering some scathing remarks.
In a recent discussion on Ziggo Sports, Sneijder did not hold back his feelings about Busquets, labeling him as "an extremely annoying player" who would "always be allowed to hit, but never receive." He further criticized Busquets's reaction when fouled, stating, "As soon as he received one, he would start crying. A complete crybaby."

The former Dutch international recounted the heated rivalry, recalling, "I literally had fights with him in every match. At one point, I told him, ‘I’ll see you in Ibiza this summer, and we’ll talk.’"
Reflecting on a memorable match from 2010, where his team defeated Barcelona 3-1 at home, Sneijder described an incident that encapsulated his frustration with Busquets.
"After eight minutes, Thiago Motta fouled him, and Busquets began rolling on the ground while peeking through his hands to see if Motta would be sent off. Then, he got up and was perfectly fine—such a crybaby. He was a disgusting player to go up against."
Sneijder's remarks reignite the debate over the intense physicality and mental games often seen in football, showcasing how rivalries can leave lasting impressions long after the final whistle.
