Vinicius Condemns Racist Abuse Toward Barcelona Players at Santiago Bernabéu
Vinicius Jr. expressed his disappointment over the racist insults directed at Barcelona players during Saturday’s Clásico, extending his support to Lamine Yamal, Ansu Fati, and Raphinha.
“It’s unfortunate what happened yesterday at the Bernabéu with those racist insults. There’s no place for these criminals in our society. All my support to Lamine, Ansu, and Raphinha. I know Madrid and the police will do what’s necessary to identify and punish those responsible,” Vinicius posted on X.
His message follows Real Madrid's official statement, announcing an investigation to “locate and identify” the fans involved in the racial abuse after Yamal’s goal, with the club pledging to take “appropriate disciplinary and legal actions.”
The incident came to light after a viral video captured the celebration of Yamal’s goal alongside Alejandro Balde, where racial slurs could be heard from certain fans in the stadium.
