However, Metz attempted to fight back in the late stages of the game, reducing the deficit to two with goals from Papa Diallo and Ibou Sane. Ultimately, the USMNT star sealed the deal with the fifth goal.
With this win, Monaco climbed to the second position in the table, just behind PSG, while Metz finds themselves increasingly threatened by the possibility of relegation.
