Canada's national team secured their spot in the 2024 Copa America by defeating Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 in the CONCACAF Nations League playoff.
Goals from Cyle Larin and Jacob Shaffelburg in the 61st and 90+1st minute respectively sealed the victory. Lille's star player Jonathan David provided an assist for Shaffelburg's goal.
With this win, Canada will feature in the continental tournament and will be placed in Group A alongside Peru, Chile, and the reigning champion, Lionel Messi's Argentina.
