This Spanish Player Vows to Give Their All in the Euro
Nico Williams, the winger for the Spanish national team, declared that he and his teammates will give everything they have in the upcoming Euro 2024 in Germany. Following Spain's 5-1 victory against Northern Ireland at Son Moix stadium, Williams expressed his commitment to the tournament.
"We have fully focused on the Euro (Spain will debut against Croatia) and hopefully, our hard work will yield the expected results. Tonight, it took us a bit to get into the game, and I believe Pedri's first goal was a turning point that led to a fantastic first half," said the Athletic Club de Bilbao player.
Nico Williams was thrilled with the opportunity given by coach Luis de la Fuente to start in the friendly match against Northern Ireland.
"The coach decides if I should start or not. I am always happy to contribute. In both friendlies (against Andorra and Northern Ireland), we played very physical games against opponents who defend a lot. These situations can happen again in the Euro," he emphasized.
