The new captain of France in Kylian Mbappé's absence
Real Madrid's Aurélien Tchouaméni will captain the French national team in tomorrow's match against Israel, the French Football Federation (FFF) announced this Wednesday.
In the absence of captain Kylian Mbappé during this round of international fixtures, the Real Madrid midfielder will take over the role tomorrow and will participate in the press conference this afternoon in Budapest alongside coach Didier Deschamps.
Tchouaméni, 24, has already earned 36 caps with the French senior team, which he joined in 2021, and has scored three goals so far.
After tomorrow's match against Israel, which is part of the group stage of the Nations League and will be played in Budapest due to the situation in the Middle East, France will face Belgium in their next match on Monday in Brussels.
