PSG Updates on Injured Players
Ahead of their match against Stade Brestois in the 4th round of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain has released an injury update through a medical statement.
Football is in full swing. By mid-September, the major leagues are well underway, national teams have resumed their activities, and European competitions are just around the corner. With an increasingly packed schedule, PSG, like other European clubs, has suffered a physical blow from the recent international window.
Already impacted by the extended absence of Gonçalo Ramos, the Parisian club has now faced two more setbacks with the injuries of Vitinha and Warren Zaïre-Emery. While few details have been provided since their early return from national teams, the French champions have given an update on each player through their official website, just before their match against Brest in Ligue 1.
“Presnel Kimpembe continues his performance program. Lucas Hernández is following his recovery protocol. Gonçalo Ramos is undergoing rehabilitation. Warren Zaïre-Emery is recovering from a muscle injury sustained with the French national team. Vitinha, who suffered a minor sprain to his right ankle with the Portuguese team, will remain in the training room today,” states the club’s announcement, without yet providing return dates for the two midfielders. As league leaders, PSG will likely be without these players for their upcoming game against Brest at the Parc des Princes.
