Morata Issues Warning About His Career's Future
Álvaro Morata, AC Milan striker and captain of the Spanish national team, confidently stated that he can still extend his career for another 4 or 5 years, which he believes will be the "most important" years of his football journey.
As Milan’s star signing and a European champion, Morata arrived in the northern city to lead the attack for a team that has been striving to take the next step in recent seasons. Turning 32 in October, retirement is far from his mind.
"The gray hair shows when a player has gained some experience. I’ve learned from many coaches and teammates, and I believe the next 4-5 years will be the most important of my career," Morata said in an interview with Sky Sports Italia.
"I feel more prepared than ever to give my all with a great level of experience," emphasized Morata, who suffered a quadriceps injury during his debut, where he scored against Torino, preventing him from playing in the last two Serie A matches and from being called up to the Spanish national team by Luis de la Fuente.
