Mexican National Team Announces the Departure of Jaime Lozano
After a Copa América where the Mexican National Team was eliminated in the Group Stage, adding another disappointment, "Jimmy" Lozano was dismissed from his position, as announced by the official team account on social media.
"You arrived at a difficult time and faced the challenges with unity and professionalism. Today, your cycle as Head Coach of the Senior National Team comes to an end, and we recognize your dedication and commitment. Thank you, Jimmy!" read the statement from the Mexican national team on social media.
This fuels the rumors of Javier "El Vasco" Aguirre possibly taking over the Mexican national team. Lozano leaves with a record of ten wins, seven losses, and four draws, with only one title (2023 Gold Cup) and finishing as runner-up in the 2023-2024 Nations League and eliminated in the Group Stage of the 2024 Copa América.
