Müller Hopes Flick Has Success in Barcelona
Bayern Munich forward Thomas Müller has expressed his hopes for the success of his former coach, Hansi Flick, if he is confirmed as the new manager of Barcelona.
Müller has highlighted his happiness for Flick and acknowledged that "both Bayern and Barcelona are hot spots in Europe because the pressure is extremely high." He added that Flick will "probably" experience the same intense atmosphere in Barcelona.
Thomas Müller and Hansi Flick shared a successful four-year period, first at Bayern Munich and then with the German national team. At Bayern, they contributed to an impressive haul of seven titles, including the historic six trophies in one calendar year, capped by the Champions League victory in Lisbon during the pandemic-affected season.
However, their tenure with the national team saw mixed fortunes. In their only major tournament together, the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Germany was eliminated in the group stage after a defeat to Japan, a draw with Spain, and a victory over Costa Rica.
