Luis Enrique praised the ovation received by Barcelona player Lamine Yamal from the Real Madrid fans during the Spain-Brazil match last Tuesday (3-3), in a press conference before PSG's classic clash against Olympique de Marseille.
"I liked that the Madrid fans applauded a Barcelona player playing for the Spanish national team, it seemed like a very nice gesture, and for a 16-year-old player to leave the stadium of the eternal rival applauded. A very nice and hopeful detail," said the Parisian team's coach.
It is worth noting that Paris Saint-Germain will face Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
Regarding the league match against Marseille, the Spaniard pointed out its importance to the Parisian fans and stated that the goal is to win every game until the end of the season to secure all possible titles.
Furthermore, concerning players' participation in this summer's Olympic Games, Luis Enrique expressed that he is "open," recalling his own experience winning a gold medal in Barcelona '92. However, he emphasized that the final decision rests with the club and that his duty is to defend the interests of the entity.
