Endrick's Subdued Performance Against Uruguay
For the first time in an official tournament, Endrick started for the Brazilian national team in the Copa América 2024 quarterfinal match against Uruguay, where “La Canarinha” was eliminated in a penalty shootout.
The Real Madrid prospect began the game in place of Vinícius Jr., who was absent due to yellow card accumulation during the group stage. However, the former Palmeiras player did not have his best day.
The 18-year-old forward failed to create any real danger during the match, and he completed only one pass throughout the entire game – the kickoff.
Following the disappointing performance against “La Celeste,” Endrick will now join Real Madrid, where he aims to prove that he can live up to the high expectations placed on him.
