Bayern Munich Changes Its Crest!
Bayern Munich has made a slight modification to its crest, as announced by the Bavarian club, in an effort to "modernize its brand identity."
The new logo features an identical design, but with slightly lighter colors. Bayern explained that this change was made to comply with the new Web Content Accessibility Law (BFSG), which will come into effect in Germany in June 2025.
This law "regulates the contrast ratio between text and background colors in accordance with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines in the digital sector." As part of this measure, Bayern's crest has been "slightly adapted for the first time since its last update in 2017," according to the club's statement.
"With the new design across the brand's presence, Bayern will offer everyone an enhanced user experience. The new designs are being rolled out step by step. Since there is a single Bayern crest with a uniform corporate identity across all areas, the update is not limited to digital platforms," the club added.
Bayern Munich emphasized that "a key premise in all related measures is always to consider the issue of accessibility, ensuring that everyone can access Bayern in the best possible way."
