A Dream Come True for Endrick with Real Madrid
Brazilian forward Endrick expressed his joy after scoring in his official debut for Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. At just 18 years and 35 days old, he described the moment as "a dream" that he is "making a reality."
"I'm very happy. It's a dream coming true. I had already played at the Bernabéu with the Brazilian national team and managed to score, but it wasn't with Real Madrid. Today was my official debut, and I also debuted in La Liga," he told the club's media.
"I'm speechless. I can only thank God for everything that's happening to me. I always tried to win for all the people in Brazil, but now also for the people in Spain. I want us to be united and for everyone to enjoy the matches whenever we play. I'm very happy to be with these great players, whom I only saw in video games. It's very important for me," he added.
Endrick revealed that in a conversation with his coach, Carlo Ancelotti, he offered "hard work and talent," and he's patiently waiting for his chance to prove on the pitch that he deserves more minutes.
"I've kept working. I will make mistakes, but I will also get things right. I'm a new guy, I have a lot to learn, but I'm very happy. Everyone is supporting me, and I keep working and waiting for my moment. I trust the coach a lot, and I'll wait," he reflected.
"We're all happy. We played here with our families watching. It was a good match. My family knows how much I've worked and how much we've suffered. People criticized me and my family too. We went through a lot, but we're all together. Being here, living this moment, and sharing it with them is wonderful and magnificent," he concluded.
