2026 FIFA World Cup: Learn About The Venues And Match Dates
The twenty-third edition of the FIFA World Cup will take place in 2026 with a triple host for the first time in history. The host countries are: Canada, the United States, and Mexico, so they will have to divide the 104 matches that will take place.
On Sunday, February 4, 2024, the ceremony revealing the dates of the most important football tournament, as well as the stadiums that will host the opening and closing matches, took place.
The Azteca Stadium, located south of Mexico City, will make history as the first venue to host and inaugurate three World Cups. The first whistle of the 2026 edition will take place on June 11, with the Mexican national team playing their initial match in the same manner.
The United States will kick off on June 12, 2026, in Los Angeles, California. Meanwhile, Canada will start their World Cup journey in Toronto.
