(VIDEO) Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappé Share Gerd Müller Trophy
Kylian Mbappé and Harry Kane were awarded the Gerd Müller Trophy on Monday for being the top goal scorers of the past season.
Both forwards finished the season with 52 goals each: 44 with their respective clubs and eight with their national teams, succeeding Norwegian Erling Haaland in the honors list.
"I had to move to Germany. It was a new beginning, and I'd like to thank those around me, my teammates, and the club," said Kane about his first season at Bayern Munich after a decade at Tottenham Hotspur.
"From there, we've had wonderful moments throughout this season. I've scored some goals and had an excellent year," he reflected. On the other hand, Mbappé did not collect the award or speak at the event due to the announcement from Real Madrid that their team would attend the gala.
