The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) has announced a remarkable 40% boost in the Prize Money for the Winner of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (“AFCON”) Côte d'Ivoire 2023.

For the upcoming TotalEnergies AFCON Côte d'Ivoire 2023, the champion will be awarded a significant sum of USD 7,000,000.
The Runner-up in this prestigious competition will now receive an increased prize of USD 4,000,000. Each of the two Semi-finalists will be granted USD 2,500,000, and the four Quarter-finalists will receive USD 1,300,000 each.
Expressing his thoughts on this development, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, the President of CAF, stated, “CAF has achieved notable progress over the past two years in enhancing the Prize Money of the AFCON and all its major competitions. The AFCON Winner's Prize Money has been elevated to USD 7,000,000, marking a remarkable 40% surge from the previous AFCON Prize Money. I am confident that a portion of the Prize Money will contribute to the development of football, benefit all football stakeholders, and assist our Member Associations in their administrative efforts.”
