The popularity of these segments led NBC to offer him a more prominent role this time: special correspondent.

Not only has he been a passionate spectator, but he's also taken on an active role as a presenter for NBC. What has recently caught attention is the rumor that Snoop is earning the impressive sum of $500,000 per day for his participation in the event.

The speculation arose when Henry L. McNamara, a partner at the venture capital firm Great Oaks, tweeted about the rapper's generous salary. According to McNamara, an NBC executive revealed at a dinner that Snoop was receiving half a million dollars daily plus expenses for his work promoting the Olympics.

Sports journalist Darren Rovell also commented on the rumor, noting that he wouldn’t be surprised if Snoop earned up to $10 million over the 16 days of the event, matching the $500,000 daily figure mentioned.

"Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner, and they said Snoop is getting $500,000 a day plus expenses to be here promoting the Olympics. From gin and juice to a few million for being a celeb at the Games—what a world!" McNamara tweeted.

Despite the surprise of many, Rovell commented on the same platform that it might be true: "Sounds pretty accurate. Someone asked me how much Snoop was making... The first number that came to mind was $10 million." It should be noted that it hasn't been confirmed whether the musician actually receives such a sum.
