Ilia Topuria fighting in Spain? Here's What Dana White Said
UFC President Dana White has confirmed that the organization will bring UFC events to Spain "as soon as possible," and they are currently debating whether the final destination will be "Madrid or Barcelona," as he mentioned during the press conference ahead of the fight between Spanish-Georgian fighter Ilia Topuria and American Max Holloway.
"We will take UFC to Spain as soon as possible. We're studying whether to go to Madrid or Barcelona," White said.
Following White’s comments, Topuria humorously suggested the possibility of hosting the event at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, saying, "It's a conversation we still need to have."
White recently revealed plans for UFC expansion into new markets, announcing that “UFC will arrive in Spain for the first time next year,” which sparked a lot of questions during the press event.
"We don't know yet if it will be in the summer or when exactly, but we’re heading to Spain in 2025. The issue is that the stadiums are all booked up, but as soon as one becomes available, we’ll be there," White concluded.
