Mo Farah Doubles Up On World Championships Success
There was no stopping Mo Farah as he defended his 5000m world title to claim another gold medal in Beijing.
Mo Farah completed yet another golden double by adding the 5000 metres title to his 10,000m success at the World Championships in Beijing.
Farah claimed his sixth successive global track long-distance title at the Bird's Nest Stadium last weekend and once again kicked clear of his rivals on Saturday after a slow pace had been set in the early stages.
The Briton has now won the 5000m and 10,000m titles in successive World Championships, having also achieved the feat on home soil at the 2012 London Olympics.
Caleb Mwangangi Ndiku did his best to deny Farah, hitting the front with two laps to go, but the world champion produced a trademark kick to power past the Kenyan in the home straight.
