Injured Nadal pulls out of Queen's
First the French Open now Queen's, Rafael Nadal's wrist injury is casting doubt on the Spaniard's involvement at Wimbledon.
Rafael Nadal remains a huge doubt for Wimbledon after his troublesome wrist injury forced him to withdraw from Queen's.
The Spaniard's hopes of winning a 10th French Open title were dashed on Friday when the issue meant he had to pull out at Roland Garros.
And the world number five will no longer participate at Queen's as planned as part of his grass-court preparations, leaving his involvement at the All England Club up in the air.
"I am very sad that my wrist injury means that I cannot play at The Queen's Club this year," Nadal said in a statement on the Lawn Tennis Association's website.
"It is a tournament and a club that I love, I enjoy playing in front of the British people, and I was looking forward to trying to win the title for a second time.
"I wish everyone at the tournament a great week, and I look forward to returning in future years."
Nadal, a victor at the Queen's Club in 2008, is a two-time Wimbledon champion but has not gone past round four since finishing runner-up in 2011.
This year's Championship begins on June 27.
