A canceled match against Hawaii because of unsafe playing surface conditions involving the turf didn't seem to disrupt the team's rhythm. Carli Lloyd scored from the spot in the 22nd minute, and the rest of the first half played out scoreless.
Alex Morgan took a long pass from Lindsey Horan in the 52nd minute and was able to finish the move to extend the lead to two goals. Then, Christen Press, who entered the match as a substitute in the 60th minute, ran off three consecutive goals. Horan assisted one of those and closed the night with a goal of her own - her first for the Stars and Stripes - as the U.S. finished an emphatic win over Randy Waldrum's women.
At the end of the match, the final shot tally favored the U.S., 29-1.
