Smart Ball Implemented at Euro 2024
UEFA has brought in more tech on the field to improve the events and actions in a soccer match.
UEFA has implemented new technology during Euro 2024, held in Germany from June 14 to July 14. One of these new technologies is an intelligent ball called “Fussballliebe,” designed by Adidas.
This ball includes Connected Ball technology, which provides real-time data on its position and movements. The goal of this technology is to enhance the detection of offside situations and plays where a player uses their hand.
Additionally, the ball offers significant assistance to referees in making decisions during critical moments of the game, according to UEFA sources.
