Fans Tried to Distract Cristiano with Messi Jersey

Portugal advanced to the Euro 2024 Quarterfinals after a goalless draw in regular and extra time, winning 3-0 in a penalty shootout against Slovenia, thanks to a heroic performance by Diogo Costa.
Slovenia managed to keep the Portuguese team, especially Cristiano Ronaldo, in check throughout the match. Ronaldo had a rough game, missing several goal opportunities and failing to convert a penalty that could have secured Portugal’s win in regular time.
But was there a reason for Ronaldo’s poor performance? Perhaps it was the Slovenian fans' tactic of bringing a Lionel Messi jersey, which was prominently displayed while Ronaldo prepared to take a free kick.
Despite everything, Portugal fully deserved their place in the next round of Euro 2024. However, Slovenia's attempt to disrupt and steal the win from the Portuguese, especially with their clever but blatant distraction aimed at Portugal’s captain and current Al-Nassr player, was quite the spectacle.
