Bilic: "¿Güler? Real Madrid Doesn’t Buy Players by Accident"
Slaven Bilic spoke about Arda Güler and his performance with the Turkish national team and Real Madrid.
Former Croatia coach and current Al-Fateh coach Slaven Bilic gave an interview to "Fanatik" where he spoke about Real Madrid's young Turkish talent, making it clear that he's a great player but still has a lot to improve before he can become a world-class star.
"Arda is still very young, but he has a great left foot. He scored a perfect goal in the match against Georgia. He’s a special player and has great qualities with the ball. First and foremost, he has a very assured style, and after all, Real Madrid doesn’t buy players by accident. He needs to improve, but he’s definitely a good player," said Bilic.
Bilic also talked about Vincenzo Montella, the current head coach of the Turkish national team, and reviewed their Euro campaign so far. "He played his first game against Croatia and they deservedly beat us. Montella trusted the young players and let them play. He was heavily criticized for his lineup and team choices. However, I’m also a coach. No one knows the field or the locker room atmosphere. It turned out well, the pressure eased, and people need to leave him alone now," he affirmed.
