MVP of Champions League Matchday Three Announced
Although several players like Raphinha, Vinícius, and Haaland stood out with their performances, only one could be named the best player.
Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior, from Real Madrid, has been named the best player of the third matchday in the UEFA Champions League, following his outstanding performance in the 5-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund.
Vinicius delivered an exceptional second half, scoring three goals and creating brilliant plays, which were key in the comeback orchestrated by Carlo Ancelotti’s side. At halftime, Real Madrid were down 0-2, but they surged back with a dominant display led by the Brazilian.
Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen) and Karim Adeyemi (Borussia Dortmund) were the best players of the first and second matchdays, respectively.
Vinicius outshone his compatriot Raphinha, who also netted a hat-trick in Barcelona’s rout of Bayern Munich, along with Japan’s Takumi Minamino (Monaco) and Dutchman Tijjani Reijnders (Milan) in the vote.
