Jeremy de León Serves as a "Talisman" up to The "Fifteenth"
The Puerto Rican Jeremy de León contributed to Real Madrid's success in their fifteenth Champions League victory, although it won't be credited to his record as he was not registered in the competition. He stood out as the 'talisman' during the crucial stages of the tournament, starting from the quarter-finals.
Carlo Ancelotti surprised everyone by including him in the squad for the match against Manchester City in the quarter-finals, repeated this in the semi-finals against Bayern Munich, and he was present in the final against Borussia Dortmund, which Real Madrid won 2-0 at Wembley.
Jeremy de León joined RM Castilla, Real Madrid's first reserve team, last January from Castellón. Although he has only played eight out of 18 possible matches for the team managed by Raúl González, he is already part of the important trips with the first team.
"The talisman has been executed," joked Dani Ceballos on his social media alongside a photo of him with Jeremy de León on their way to Wembley.
He fulfilled his role as an unexpected talisman and experienced an unforgettable night with Real Madrid's first team.
